Hindi kailangan mahal
para mahalin din kita: My everyday inexpensive must have.
Ever since college I’m so
kuripot sa budget, that is why, I really like trying inexpensive,
not-so-high-end yet quality brands. That goes with my make-ups, clothing, shoes
and food. Yes! Everything goes. I don’t care about the brand; I’m more of a
money minder (LOL!). That’s why I really go on yellow and/or red and/or orange
tags (YAY! SALE-A-HOLIC HERE).
At dahil kuripot ako,
alam mo na. Yes!! Whatever is inside my kikay bag, my everyday essential is inexpensive,
abot kaya para sa mga College and starting working kikay girls tulad ko.
So to start, let’s see
what is on my kikay bag. Oo, alam ko maarte ako. FYI, high school ko pa alam
yun. Well, anyways, first I have my tinted moisturizer, then my concealer, my
loose powder, my compact powder, my blush-on, my brow liner, my eyeliner, my
mascara, my eye curler, my lip liner and my lipstick. That’s it pancit. I don’t
use them all at the same time. Edi nagmukha akong clown n’on (I HATE CLOWNS AND
MIMES).
Moisturizer (MYRA-E
TINTED MOISTURIZER)
Before I’ve been using
the Myra-E with sunscreen moisturizer but I changed it to Myra-E (Ivory) tinted
moisturizer. However I seldom apply the Myra-E tinted moisturizer unlike the
Myra-E sunscreen moisturizer then. My usage depends on the weather. Kasi,
according to one beauty show before, you need to have a variation of colors for
the concealer, foundation, tinted moisturizer and compact powder because our
skin tone changes depending on the weather and/or season. But remember the
variation of colors should be one tone darker or one tone lighter. Anyways, I
use this product during cold weather. Ewan ba, I see my skin tone lighter
during this days and using natural or almond or tan color doesn’t much my skin.
Also, for the ladies who haven’t use
this yet, Myra-E has this glowing glitter effect. Yung parang vampire effect na
when you get hit by a light na focused talaga sayo, you’ll look kinda glittery.
Pero in normal sunlight okay lang.
Pros:
- Available in groceries and drugstores
- Light on skin
- No sticky feeling
- Cheap compare to other tinted moisturizes (130-135 php)
- No smell
- Has slim and none spilling pouch (Good for travelling)
- No side effects
- Has Mineral
Cons:
- Glittery
- Takes a long time for the color to blend on skin
- Only comes in two color – Ivory and Beige
- Stains clothing permanently (especially maong. My maong pants L)
FV advice:
Carefully use it because
it STAINS and let it settle for a while (3-5 mins) after applying. Also remember
to keep your face and neck dry when applying. Magmumukha kang espasol sa puti
kahit beige yung gamit mo pagbasa yung surface na nilagyan mo. Moreover, no
need for concealer (sa case ko), Just apply powder (loose or compact) for
smoother looking skin. In addition always wash your face and neck to prevent
pimple break-out due to clogging of pores

Yes! I’ve been CAREFULLY using it for almost a year.
Concealer (MAXIPEEL CONCEALER/MAKE-UP BASE)
Before I have been using the Careline
concealer na parang my mint that is cool on skin but I switch to Maxipeel
concealer/make-up base. Thought this brand is known for its whitening effect at
least it matches my skin tone and so far hindi pa naman ako pumuti. The
Careline concealer kasi (I forgot the color, basta yung darker shade) makes me
look dull, and doesn’t conceal much of the area that needs to be concealed
while yung lighter shade nila is lighter talaga na for fair skin na yung range.
Anyways, I’m using the Natural color for the maxipeel concealer/foundation.
Also what made me buy this product is that it is multipurpose and good for
travelling which I do a lot. Imagine it’s a concealerfoundationtintedmoisturizerwithsp15pa!
(HOOO, hinga muna). What more can you ask for right?
For me Maxipeel conceler/make-up base is a
tried and tested brand. Mura na nga, quality product pa ng Splash Philippines.
Proud Pinoy brand na iniimport pa internationally. I’ve been using this for
more than 3 years na. College days till now im working and with-in that span of
time it has improved its quality.
May
be your wondering why I bought the Myra-E tinted moisturizer, well, it is
simply because of color variation na sabi ko . Also the Fair color of the
Maxipeel does not compliment my tone.
Pros:
- Very affordable (70 php)
- Available in groceries and drugstores
- None sticky
- Light on skin (unlike the formulation before)
- No smell
- Has slim and none spilling pouch (Big)
- Does not stain on clothes
- No side effects
Cons:
- Only comes in two color (Natural and Fair)
- Sachet version is messy to use (I hope they could device a new sachet container with cover like ponds).
Rating: 5/5

Powder
A powder is a girl must have talaga. It keeps us cool, prevent
sweat, oil, and odor and keeps dust from sticking on our skin. That is why I
have mine on my bag, actually two types of powder if I may say- I have my loose
powder which is Johnson’s prickly heat but I usually use the cooling powder but
unfortunately it’s out of stock. For my
compact powder I use Avon simply pretty white smooth (Natural).
But lately I’ve been scanning the latest brochure of Avon
Philippines, and saw this loose powder of simply pretty line and guess what,
it’s tinted! (CLAP-CLAP-CLAP!) Great innovation Avon. Though t I’m kinda
hesitant to buy because first it’s tinted. I don’t know yet if it stains or
what. Gotta check some reviews. Second, it’s not multipurpose; I guess it’s
only use for the face. You cannot use it on your feet, armpit or other parts of
the body that needs powdering (ALM NA! PAK!). Not very wise if I may say. May
be if I ran out of compact powder then I MAY consider buying one for myself.
Loose powder (JOHNSON’S BABY POWDER)
Pros:
- Very affordable (20-30 php)
- Available in all groceries, drugstore and other mini stores
- Has cooling effect
- Multipurpose
- Safe on skin
Cons:
- Bulky container
FV advice:
Better to use loose powder when travelling than compact
powder. Dust doesn’t stick much on skin.

Eyebrow
Liner (AVON BROW LNER)
I
was only addicted to eyeliners before but now I never go out without my eye bro
liner. You see, before it was never a NECESSITY because my brows is black like
my hair but since I colored my hair brown blond I started using one. It looks
kinda awkward having blond hair and black brows. Nagpapahalata talaga na hindi
natural yung buhok. (: P)
So
before I’ve been using Careline eyeliner as my brown liner, I forgot what color
but what the heck because I switched to Avon after I changed my hair to
burgundy red. I forgot what color it is but it matches the redness of my hair.
My brows would only look kinda brownish but not red. So anyways, it’s not the
typical pencil liner. It’s like a crayon that you need to twist the container
like the lipstick. You get the picture, I know you’re smart. (LOL) I’m sorry
I’m not good at descriptions.
Pros:
·
Affordable , mga 100-150 php but i bought it on sale at a lower price :) (PWEDE DIN BAYARAN NG BY GIVES PERO
GOOD FOR 1 MONTH LANG)
·
Very handy and slim
·
Comes in 3 colors ()
·
Not messy to use
·
Easy to use
·
No need for sharpening
Cons:
- Not available anywhere (Bought only from Avon retailers. No walk in stores)

Eyeliner -NICHIDO
Oh yes! My addiction can’t be controlled. Though I’ve mellow
down but it’s still there. I can’t stop using EYELINERS! Highschool palang ako,
gumagamit na ako ng eyeliner. Pencil pa noon gamit ko at “kinupit” ko pa sa
kikay bag ng nanay ko. LOL. Well she had several.
Anyway, like stated above, I’ve started sa pencil liner,My
first application was all over my eyes. Like a hardcore emopunkrockerwhatsoever
ang drama pero hindi naman mukhang raccoon eyes. Then when I entered college I
switched to liquid liner. My first purchase was Nichido because it was the most
mura liquid liner in the department store. It only cost 60-70 php and it would
last for like 3 months. Then I switched to another liner which I forgot the
name. It was an international unknown brand. It has a liquid liner at the other
end and has a pencil liner on the other. Innovative brand, first time to see it
in the market. Hindi pa uso kasi yung mga dual-dual nayan noong college. LOL.
Pero nang maubos na ito I switched back to Nichido. I love their black liquid
liner. It doesn’t smudge and easy to wash away. The only thing I hated about it
was the liner’s brush. Hindi siya hard tip. Kinda hard to control especially
for beginners.
Right now, I want to try another brand of eyeliner but I don’t
know yet. I want to also try colorful liners. I’m tired of the usual brown and
black. Any suggestions ladies?
Pros:
- Affordable (60-70php)
- Small and slim
- Long lasting
- Not bad smelling
- Easy to remove
Cons:
- Not user friendly (especially for beginners)
- Soft brush tips are hard to control (wish they have a hard tip liquid liner)
- Takes long to dry-up (1-2 mins)

Eye Curler
My eye Curler is just an unknown brand from the department
store. Nothing special. Bought it for just 50-70 php. It comes with 2 replace
foam (I’m not sure what it is called).
Mascara (REVLON)
After I started using eyeliner, I started using mascara.
They’re my dynamic duo ever since college. The side kick of my addiction though
I can go out with-out it. Before I was
using an unknown brand from us that my aunt has given me. It was a voluminizer.
Then I switched to Avon transparent mascara but its transparency didn’t last
that long, it turned black. RAWR! I don’t know, it got kinda mixed-up with my
liquid liner. Especially if I applied it while my liner’s wet. Anyways it was a
voluminizer din ata and for define curl lashes. So after that I switched again
to Revlon. It’s a lengthener/ voluminizer. I know my lashes was longer than the
other and has this define curl but I want it more define and besides I love
having long thick lashes. I love it like Tessie Prieto loves hers.
Pros:
- Voluminizer
- Lengthener
- Doesn’t clump lashes
- No smell
- Easy to remove
Cons:
- Kinda Pricy than other brands (But good thing this was a gift J)

Lip Liner (VICTORIA SECRET)
I never use lip liners before.
I didn’t see much of its use before until recently, after I watched this
beauty show on TV I started using one when going out or to work or to occasions
where I use lipsticks. Lip liners are not only for defining the contour of the
lips, it is also use as a base for the lips. To conceal the cracks to make the
lipstick look even and also make the lipstick sticks more that could last
almost half day with-out retouching. Yes! Kahit uminom ka pa ng water.
Anyway, what I’m using now is Victoria’s secret lip liner
(Nude). It’s from my mothers’. I don’t know if they sell it individually. This
one I’m using came from a make-up set sent by my Tita’s abroad.
Pros:
- It’s nude so any lipstick will do
- No smell
Cons:
- Kinda pricy I guess compare to other lip liners
- Needs sharpening (hassle)

Lipsticks (WET ‘N WILD, BEAUTY RUSH, SHISEIDO AND
F21)
Wet ‘N Wild
For my natural and usual look, I usually
use Wet ‘n Wild lipstick () given to me by my aunt. Though it’s in the darker
shade I love using it cause it’s close to the color of my lips .Also it doesn’t
darken my lips after use (meaning low lead content). I usually use it when
going out casual. It gives my dull looking lips a natural pop of color.
Pros:
·
Doesn’t darken lips
·
Non glittery
·
Non glossy
Cons:
- Pricy compare to other brands
Rating: 5/5
To use again?
YES!
Beauty Rush
Also from my aunt. I use my Beauty Rush
glossy lip stain when I feel like dolling-up or I feel so girl or pink. Though I
hate the glossy feeling on my lips and it’s glossy look. Good thing my lip
liner tones it down making it look less glossy. Also I love how its container looks. Parang crayon yung itsura.
Pros:
- Doesn’t darken lips
- Non glittery
- Cute container
Cons:
- Glossy feeling
- Glossy finished (especially if walang lip liner)
FV advice:
Use a base liner or concealer to prevent
that uber glossy look.

F21
When I feel dark or when I look so dull I
usually use my red F21 lipstick () courtesy of my sister.
It has a matte finish kaya if walang lip
liner pangit tingnan. The lip cracks show. Also it’s over red. You have to dub
a tissue several times to your lips if you want to get the certain redness you
want to achieve. Though I seldom use it. I don’t know if it is high on led
content (be checking on it) but it leaves my lips dark after use.
Pros:
- Matte finish
- Non glittery
- Non glossy
Cons:
- Darken lips (after I use it)
Fv advice:
Dub a tissue to make it stick more and to
achieve the redness you want to have.
Rating: 4/5
To use again?
No, but I will use it until It rans out.
Shesiedo
I already got two of this. i really like using this aside from my Wet 'N Wild lipstick. It gives me that natural healthy looking lips (LOL)
Pros:
- It'small and slim
- Non glittery
- No smell
Price: I forgot...teehee.sorry ladies
Rating: 4.8/5
Blush (CLINIQUE)
I’m using Clinique blush courtesy of my
sister. Actually it’s a small set of eye shadows (which I don’t use) and blush.
The color is rose (I guess, no description eh).
Pros:
- Non glittery
- Very slim, can fit to back pocket of pants
Cons:
- Kinda pricy compare to other brand
Rating:4/5
To use again?
Yes!
(p.s. no pictures yet. be posting if i have a camera soon :))
