ELF Duo: Eyes and Lips.

This was the very reason why I discovered ELF - the lip stain in SM department store. Before dahil student ako I cannot afford such pricey cosmetic. It costs around 300-350 php, same price as now and to think that was 2 years ago. Just to try the brand, my first ELF cosmetic was their  lip plump with stain din ata un which costs only 150 php and it was not disappointing than my liquid eye  liner.

Anyways, even after the eyeliner incident, it did not stop  me from buying my most coveted lip stain (I actually bought this out of stress because shopping therapy really helps sometimes ^^ ) plus a brow liner ( just to feed my curiosity why it was a sell out.).

Lip Stain

I bought the Fashionista even though I love the two nude colors more. Almost all of my outfits are white and black so just to add a little color to my oh-so-minimalist outfits.

Brow Liner

This picture was grabbed online. credits goes to the blogger, but i forgot the link.

I bought this two last May and the texture is still okay, the smell is okay and it has not dried up unlike my liquid eyeliner. Though with the lip stain, I seldom used the gloss part cause the more I used it, the shorter the staying time of the stain. While for the brow liner, I like the color, suits my color. Then the treat part, well it does not make my brows thicker but it tames my brows. Making it stay in
place and in one direction. Even the not so cooperative tip near the nose part hair. :)

All in all, I like it and I'm still using it, though not every day but regularly. Can't wait to try more ELF cosmetics.

Testing 1,2,3,4

Budget cutting season again ladies, especially  for those who have quit there jobs for what they have thought then lo and behold - NOTHING. (sishhh, talk about experience) NEVER ASSUME people, NEVER ASSUME! It's deadly.

Anyways, since I 'm saving, I have to cut my expenses on salon services. So I tried this products for the past 2 months (wala ng laman yung mga bottles and sachet, verdict mode) and for my hair care...

I bought my Monea Powerdose hair repair, hair supplement on our local grocery. Worth about 180-200 php. Instructions were -use this product after shampoo and conditioner. Massage on scalp and leave it for about 10-20 minutes and rinse off. Recommended use- 3 times a week. Result to me were,my hair strands became thinner, bagsak looking (sleek) but still looks dead (salon stiff). Smells okay and does not cause dandruff or any other side effects.
Second, I bought my Dark Secret herbal coloring shampoo (Dark Brown) on the same local grocery as my Monea Powerdose for about 30php. Inside you have a free gloves. Apply it like a regular shampoo and leave it for 5 minutes but I usually make it 10 (no adverse effect naman sakin). Can last for 4 weeks but for me, about 2 weeks or so, so I usually apply it twice a month. So far, does not cause hair fall, dandruff or other side effects.

Just a segway, having unrully hair is not all the time sexy. Sometimes, kahit anong make-up mo, if your hair is a mess, wala ding effect pagmamaganda mo.

AND DONT BELIEVE THIS....

Sometimes you think you look like the girl from the left but actually you look like Barbie after a decade of no shower and no combing of hair.

For my skin care i tried Dermablend cleansing milk as facial wash. Bought in Mercury Drugstore for 50-60php.  Can be used in 2 ways- 1 is by the usual facial washing method (lol, method talaga) or 2, by applying it directly on face then wiped off by cloth or cotton (Parang make-up remover siya). Leaves skin soft and moisturize but unfortunately for me, I had break-outs. FYI, this product is like a low end/local version of Cetaphil. Some are afraid to use it because it has "paraben" but some said it was okay because it was dermatologically tested. As for me, after 1 bottle, it was enough.

Then I bought a lotion, just for trying sake. It was Lander advance skin care restoring body lotion. It cost around 200 ata but was totally worth it. My only issue about this product was, it's thick and sticky on my skin. Especially if I'm sweating, very uncomfortable that is why I returned to Johnson's but bought the new variant-the cooling gel. It cools the skin and it's like water once you rub it in. Smells good too. Amoy baby!  Anyways, I would not be repurchasing this product until matapos ang tag-init or global warming kasi kahit umuulan, ang INIT!

All in all, I had some good buys and some goodbyes. Well not because of bad side effects, it's just that hindi kami compatible.

2 Shades of Pink

Okay, so this post is one of those months delayed blog but I'm trying to cope up with my list of blogs under draft and with my schedule of work and class.Anyways, here is my new found partner in crime (last February!) , Victoria's Secrets lip gloss. It's not too glossy, not too sparkly and not too
heavy textured on my lips. Like Goldilocks said, "IT IS JUST RIGHT!".

I usually use lip gloss instead of lipstick when I'm in a hurry or a combination of two when I feel like having that simple make-up, girl next door look (CHOS!).

color: 2AAB

I seldom use this fuchsia kind of pink lip gloss alone with my bare lips because my lips would look like ewan.
I usually pair this with my Clinique Guava Stain lipstick which looks like healthy color lips unlike mine which is mapulta. This adds a little tinge of pink-ish color and glitters.

color: 2DAB

This one I like! I always use this when I'm in a hurry or when my red lipstick fails to make me feel good. If you'll look at the top most picture, this one is almost half empty (YIKES!).
Anyways, I just use my Avon nude lip liner under (full lip coverage) then swish my VS tickled pink (YES! I named it TICKLED PINK. Just an a.k.a. kasi this came from a make set which me and my sisters shared. Sa inyo na ung eyeshadow ladies :) ) wand and VIOLA!

This is the 3rd  and hopefully not the last product I will use from VS aside from the variety of sexy smelling perfumes and lotions (Thanks to loving Auties abroad). So, all in all, it's not about the brand I 'm after, it's the quality the product gives to the users.

AVON unlimited

Okay, so I have not been blogging here for a while.I have been busy blogging elsewhere regarding education, learning, theories, school stuffs, blahblahblah.... I miss my blogger/blogspot! I miss blabbering about stuffs no one cares or mind of.

So this is a late, on que blog, scheduled about a month ago but oh well enjoy my long-long litanaya ladies :)

Recently, I have been cleaning my "beauty box" and my bag from work and here is what I have discovered. AVON EVERYWHERE. Seriously self?! You have this many product from them? (YAY!) Of course, why not diba? Mura na nga quality pa.

Inside my bag, what you'll find there at hindi pwedeng mawala are:
  1. Avon Naturals Antibacterial Hand Gel - It's vanilla flavor kaya super bango (I so love the scent of vanilla) and the smell lasts long. Does not have those sticky after effect. It has 60.14% alcohol active ingredient, which the recommended amount of alcohol. However, what I don't like about it is, it's not that handy especially kung maliit lang yung bag mo. How I which they could reinvent the container na pwedeng lagyan ng handle or whatsoever.
  2. Avon Simply Pretty Tinted Loose Powder - It does not stain clothes plus good coverage sa skin, almost pareho din sa compact nila.
  3. Simply Pretty Nude Lipliner- It's my must have, sometimes I used it as a substiture sa lippie ko. Apply sa whole lips, then lip balm tapos pink or red lipglose and okay na siya, matagal pa matanggal kahit uminom o kumain ka pa.
  4. Avon Vitalicious Lipstick 001- My favorite lippie however, it's nowhere in sight anymore :(, gotta buy on the next sale.
RIP my favorite Lippie.
My other Avon Haul are:
  1.  Avon Clearskin Blemish Rescue- Instant spot corrector-NOT really. But it does remover pimple faster, or opt it from getting worst. For me, it takes about a week. However it does leave a mark but I found a solution for that. Also, it smells like an astringent, kinda strong but the effect is mild on the skin. (2 % salicylic acid)
  2. Avon Clearskin Blackhead Eliminating- Also contains 2% salicylic acid. Aside from it cleanses the face and remove blackheads, it is the tandem of my blemish rescue. Instead of applying this 3 times a day, I only used it once- at night. After I wash my face, I apply this to my face and neck, then after I place the blamish rescue on pimple prone/affected area. It dries the pimple faster but does not burn the skin. Spots lighten in 2 weeks (In my experience, I'm not sure for others).
  3. Simply Pretty Shimmer Blush Stick- Peachy Glow- Not my favorite cheek stuff, I'd rather use it as a lippie :) It's sticky sa face, especially if my facial oils are bursting out. Then, not that halata, parang wala lang. Naabsord lang ata siya ng skin ko or whatsoever.May be needs some new layer of blush (Light Bulb! I'll try that and see what's the difference)
  4.  Avon Simply Pretty No Shine Compact Powder- Natural- I seldom use this. The color does not match my skin anymore, unlike before. Right now, I'm searching for the right compact powder for me.
  5. Avon Make-up Brushes- My sister gave this to me. I frequently use the lip brush and blush. Aside from these brushes, I use my middle and ring finger to apply concealer and moisturizer.
  6. Avon Mega Impact Gel Liner - Blackberry- My only colored liner (LOL). I seldom used this cause I usually use black liner. What I like about this liner is that it does not smudge unless you smudge it yourself. It last for the whole day and has a little glitters on it. I like using it without eye shadows.
  7.  Avon after shave conditioner- It reduces small bump on skin (wrong shaving-I get it!) plus it has this cool after effect.

All in all, I love using Avon products, saves me money but rest assured no side effect on my skin. Yeah, I'm one happy kid. Thanks Avon! P.S. I am not paid or sponsored to do this- I WISH! hahaha.

ELFified: ELF waterproof eyeliner review

Last September, I finally bought my most coveted eyeliner by ELF, the ELF Waterproof Eyeliner Pen. And yeah, it does look like a pen. From its size (Length) to its slim tip point. And yes, I do realize that this review is kinda late.

ELF waterproof eyeliner .( Upper right: That was the color when i first opened it. Nice right?)

Based on reviews, this product have less positive feedback with fairly happy users but still I bought it because I thought its quality is like of the lip stain  I used before by ELF and to my dismay, (DUM-DUM-DUMMMMB) I was proven wrong.

So what convinced me to buy this product despite the not so good reviews?

Aside from the trusted brand name (based on my lip stain experience), the price was also affordable, about 150 php. PLUS, they don;t test on Animals that is why it's a BIG CHECK on my cosmetic list.

What are the positive side of this product?

The first time I used it, the ink color was really black and is not pigmented. Doesn't smudge and could last the whole day with out minor retouch (No chipping off). They give precise and thin lining. Good for bat wing, cat's eye and other eyeliner lines with long tail. It goes smooth and drys quickly. And the best part of all was that it can be easily removed with petroleum jelly and doesn't leave your eyes dark for the next day. (NO MORE MORNING RACCOON EYES).

What was the down side?

It dried up after 1 and 1/2 month or so. Like literally. My sister told me to placed it upside down but nothing happened. She then told me to put it in the fridge and so I did and then when I used it again it wasn't as black as before and I only used it for my one eye and none left for the other side. Also the tip was becoming frayed producing an ugly not so define line and is not waterproof as indicated on the pen.

To repurchase again?

No, BUT maybe I'll try the improved version like the ones I have read on some reviews.

Haul for August-turning to an Avon lady

pls forgive me for my pictures quality. phone camera ang gamit ko.

So here some of the items i use for my personal hygiene. Not only that they are not that costly but also they are good and effective.

  • Blackhead Remover from Avon- i bought this because due to my constant use of make-up, i have noticed that there are facial warts or i dont know, I'm not sure kung ano ito that is showing on my face and I've read that salicylic acid can prevent if not remove this from the skin. It's 2 % salicylic acid and dermatologist tested so I fell kinda safe using this.
  • Simply Pretty Whitening and No Shine Powder by Avon- It's in a refill case and color natural. Mas mura kasi besides I have much more beautiful pocket mirror from Thailand. Also I'm taking note to myself to switch to almond color because natural is not for my skin color anymore. I'm not a reddish skin gal like in highschool due some usage of "lightening" products.
  • Bevi Kojie-san Anti Aging soap- Lightens skins but does not necessarily whitens unlike the orange soap.
  • Some facial tissue.
  • Off insect repellent but I'll be switching to Greencross because it's ot only cheap but it has also a longer time for insect protection.
  • Lactacid sachet for travelling but i bought Carefree cool wind for everyday consumption.
  • Mama love cotton buds.
  • Close-up ice crystals.
  • iWhite Korea facial wash. (be doing some review after i finish the whole sachet).
  • Sunsilk yogurt which i really love using because the scent last whole day and it keeps my hair controllable and bagsak while sometime, sinasalit-salit ko sila ng damage repair to repair my hair.(LOL).

For September Ill be mostly using Avon product, Ill be trying them and let's see where will my not so costly products will take me :)

Wet 'n Wild with my infamous hair do

Heto na yung pic ko na gamit yung Wet 'n Wild lipstick ko. Better use this with some nude lip liner under and some lip balm para maganda yung finish. Hindi kasi matte o silk finish yung lipstick na to. If you have cracked or choppy lips good luck, cause it will really show and do forgive my hair. I havent gone to the salon yet. It's been six months already. It so obvious, the color is not starting from the roots and my hair is a mess making me a HOT BIG MESS. (LOL), kung baga bagong gising yung peg. Hirap kasi pag parating late and no time for hair drying (yeabah!excuses galore)

Product: WET 'N WILD

Inexpensive Beauty Essentials

Hindi kailangan mahal para mahalin din kita: My everyday inexpensive must have.
Ever since college I’m so kuripot sa budget, that is why, I really like trying inexpensive, not-so-high-end yet quality brands. That goes with my make-ups, clothing, shoes and food. Yes! Everything goes. I don’t care about the brand; I’m more of a money minder (LOL!). That’s why I really go on yellow and/or red and/or orange tags (YAY! SALE-A-HOLIC HERE).
At dahil kuripot ako, alam mo na. Yes!! Whatever is inside my kikay bag, my everyday essential is inexpensive, abot kaya para sa mga College and starting working kikay girls tulad ko.
So to start, let’s see what is on my kikay bag. Oo, alam ko maarte ako. FYI, high school ko pa alam yun. Well, anyways, first I have my tinted moisturizer, then my concealer, my loose powder, my compact powder, my blush-on, my brow liner, my eyeliner, my mascara, my eye curler, my lip liner and my lipstick. That’s it pancit. I don’t use them all at the same time. Edi nagmukha akong clown n’on (I HATE CLOWNS AND MIMES).

Moisturizer (MYRA-E TINTED MOISTURIZER)
Before I’ve been using the Myra-E with sunscreen moisturizer but I changed it to Myra-E (Ivory) tinted moisturizer. However I seldom apply the Myra-E tinted moisturizer unlike the Myra-E sunscreen moisturizer then. My usage depends on the weather. Kasi, according to one beauty show before, you need to have a variation of colors for the concealer, foundation, tinted moisturizer and compact powder because our skin tone changes depending on the weather and/or season. But remember the variation of colors should be one tone darker or one tone lighter. Anyways, I use this product during cold weather. Ewan ba, I see my skin tone lighter during this days and using natural or almond or tan color doesn’t much my skin.  Also, for the ladies who haven’t use this yet, Myra-E has this glowing glitter effect. Yung parang vampire effect na when you get hit by a light na focused talaga sayo, you’ll look kinda glittery. Pero in normal sunlight okay lang.

Pros:
  •  Available in groceries and drugstores
  •  Light on skin
  •  No sticky feeling
  • Cheap compare to other tinted moisturizes (130-135 php)
  •  No smell
  •  Has slim and none spilling pouch (Good for travelling)
  • No side effects
  •  Has Mineral

Cons:
  •  Glittery
  • Takes a long time for the color to blend on skin
  • Only comes in two color – Ivory and Beige
  • Stains clothing permanently (especially maong. My maong pants L)

FV advice:
Carefully use it because it STAINS and let it settle for a while (3-5 mins) after applying. Also remember to keep your face and neck dry when applying. Magmumukha kang espasol sa puti kahit beige yung gamit mo pagbasa yung surface na nilagyan mo. Moreover, no need for concealer (sa case ko), Just apply powder (loose or compact) for smoother looking skin. In addition always wash your face and neck to prevent pimple break-out due to clogging of pores

Rating: 4.5/5

To repurchase/use again?
Yes! I’ve been CAREFULLY using it for almost a year.

Concealer (MAXIPEEL CONCEALER/MAKE-UP BASE)

Before I have been using the Careline concealer na parang my mint that is cool on skin but I switch to Maxipeel concealer/make-up base. Thought this brand is known for its whitening effect at least it matches my skin tone and so far hindi pa naman ako pumuti. The Careline concealer kasi (I forgot the color, basta yung darker shade) makes me look dull, and doesn’t conceal much of the area that needs to be concealed while yung lighter shade nila is lighter talaga na for fair skin na yung range. Anyways, I’m using the Natural color for the maxipeel concealer/foundation. Also what made me buy this product is that it is multipurpose and good for travelling which I do a lot. Imagine it’s a concealerfoundationtintedmoisturizerwithsp15pa! (HOOO, hinga muna). What more can you ask for right?
For me Maxipeel conceler/make-up base is a tried and tested brand. Mura na nga, quality product pa ng Splash Philippines. Proud Pinoy brand na iniimport pa internationally. I’ve been using this for more than 3 years na. College days till now im working and with-in that span of time it has improved its quality.
May be your wondering why I bought the Myra-E tinted moisturizer, well, it is simply because of color variation na sabi ko . Also the Fair color of the Maxipeel does not compliment my tone.

Pros:
  •  Very affordable (70 php)
  •  Available in groceries and drugstores
  • None sticky
  • Light on skin (unlike the formulation before)
  • No smell
  • Has slim and none spilling pouch (Big)
  • Does not stain on clothes
  • No side effects

Cons:
  •  Only comes in two color (Natural and Fair)
  • Sachet version is messy to use (I hope they could device a new sachet container with cover like ponds).

Rating: 5/5

To repurchase/use again?
Yes! Ive been using it for more than 3 years.

Powder

A powder is a girl must have talaga. It keeps us cool, prevent sweat, oil, and odor and keeps dust from sticking on our skin. That is why I have mine on my bag, actually two types of powder if I may say- I have my loose powder which is Johnson’s prickly heat but I usually use the cooling powder but unfortunately it’s out of stock.  For my compact powder I use Avon simply pretty white smooth (Natural).
But lately I’ve been scanning the latest brochure of Avon Philippines, and saw this loose powder of simply pretty line and guess what, it’s tinted! (CLAP-CLAP-CLAP!) Great innovation Avon. Though t I’m kinda hesitant to buy because first it’s tinted. I don’t know yet if it stains or what. Gotta check some reviews. Second, it’s not multipurpose; I guess it’s only use for the face. You cannot use it on your feet, armpit or other parts of the body that needs powdering (ALM NA! PAK!). Not very wise if I may say. May be if I ran out of compact powder then I MAY consider buying one for myself.

Loose powder (JOHNSON’S BABY POWDER)

Pros:
  • Very affordable (20-30 php)
  •  Available in all groceries, drugstore and other mini stores
  •  Has cooling effect
  •  Multipurpose
  •  Safe on skin
Cons:
  •  Bulky container

FV advice:
Better to use loose powder when travelling than compact powder. Dust doesn’t stick much on skin.

Rating: 4.8/5

Yes!

Compact Powder (AVON SIMPLY PRETTY COMPACT POWDER)

Pros:
  •    Very affordable (PWEDE BAYARAN NG BY GIVES PERO GOOD FOR 1 MONTH LANG)
  •     Comes in 4 colors (Natural, Almond, Fair, Soft Bisque)
  •     Very slim, can fit on back pockets on pants
  •      Refillable
  •      No side effects
Cons:
·         It’s not available anywhere (Bought only from Avon retailers. No walk in stores)

Rating: 5/5

To repurchase/ use gain?
Yes! I’ve been using it since 1st year college, like its way back 2008.

Eyebrow Liner (AVON BROW LNER)

I was only addicted to eyeliners before but now I never go out without my eye bro liner. You see, before it was never a NECESSITY because my brows is black like my hair but since I colored my hair brown blond I started using one. It looks kinda awkward having blond hair and black brows. Nagpapahalata talaga na hindi natural yung buhok. (: P)
So before I’ve been using Careline eyeliner as my brown liner, I forgot what color but what the heck because I switched to Avon after I changed my hair to burgundy red. I forgot what color it is but it matches the redness of my hair. My brows would only look kinda brownish but not red. So anyways, it’s not the typical pencil liner. It’s like a crayon that you need to twist the container like the lipstick. You get the picture, I know you’re smart. (LOL) I’m sorry I’m not good at descriptions.

Pros:
·         Affordable , mga 100-150 php but i bought it on sale at a lower price :) (PWEDE DIN BAYARAN NG BY GIVES PERO GOOD FOR 1 MONTH LANG)
·         Very handy and slim
·         Comes in 3 colors ()
·         Not messy to use
·         Easy to use
·         No need for sharpening

Cons:
  • Not available anywhere (Bought only from Avon retailers. No walk in stores)

Rating: 5/5

Eyeliner -NICHIDO

Oh yes! My addiction can’t be controlled. Though I’ve mellow down but it’s still there. I can’t stop using EYELINERS! Highschool palang ako, gumagamit na ako ng eyeliner. Pencil pa noon gamit ko at “kinupit” ko pa sa kikay bag ng nanay ko. LOL. Well she had several.
Anyway, like stated above, I’ve started sa pencil liner,My first application was all over my eyes. Like a hardcore emopunkrockerwhatsoever ang drama pero hindi naman mukhang raccoon eyes. Then when I entered college I switched to liquid liner. My first purchase was Nichido because it was the most mura liquid liner in the department store. It only cost 60-70 php and it would last for like 3 months. Then I switched to another liner which I forgot the name. It was an international unknown brand. It has a liquid liner at the other end and has a pencil liner on the other. Innovative brand, first time to see it in the market. Hindi pa uso kasi yung mga dual-dual nayan noong college. LOL. Pero nang maubos na ito I switched back to Nichido. I love their black liquid liner. It doesn’t smudge and easy to wash away. The only thing I hated about it was the liner’s brush. Hindi siya hard tip. Kinda hard to control especially for beginners.
Right now, I want to try another brand of eyeliner but I don’t know yet. I want to also try colorful liners. I’m tired of the usual brown and black. Any suggestions ladies?

Pros:
  • Affordable (60-70php)
  • Small and slim
  • Long lasting
  • Not bad smelling
  • Easy to remove

Cons:
  • Not user friendly (especially for beginners)
  • Soft brush tips are hard to control (wish they have a hard tip liquid liner)
  • Takes long to dry-up (1-2 mins)

Rating:4.5/5

To repurchase/ use gain?
Yes! I’ve been using it since college.

Eye Curler

My eye Curler is just an unknown brand from the department store. Nothing special. Bought it for just 50-70 php. It comes with 2 replace foam (I’m not sure what it is called).

Mascara (REVLON)

After I started using eyeliner, I started using mascara. They’re my dynamic duo ever since college. The side kick of my addiction though I can go out with-out it.  Before I was using an unknown brand from us that my aunt has given me. It was a voluminizer. Then I switched to Avon transparent mascara but its transparency didn’t last that long, it turned black. RAWR! I don’t know, it got kinda mixed-up with my liquid liner. Especially if I applied it while my liner’s wet. Anyways it was a voluminizer din ata and for define curl lashes. So after that I switched again to Revlon. It’s a lengthener/ voluminizer. I know my lashes was longer than the other and has this define curl but I want it more define and besides I love having long thick lashes. I love it like Tessie Prieto loves hers.

Pros:
  • Voluminizer
  • Lengthener
  • Doesn’t clump lashes
  • No smell
  • Easy to remove

Cons:
  • Kinda Pricy than other brands (But good thing this was a gift J)

Rating: 5/5

To use again?
Yes!

Lip Liner (VICTORIA SECRET)

I never use lip liners before.  I didn’t see much of its use before until recently, after I watched this beauty show on TV I started using one when going out or to work or to occasions where I use lipsticks. Lip liners are not only for defining the contour of the lips, it is also use as a base for the lips. To conceal the cracks to make the lipstick look even and also make the lipstick sticks more that could last almost half day with-out retouching. Yes! Kahit uminom ka pa ng water.
Anyway, what I’m using now is Victoria’s secret lip liner (Nude). It’s from my mothers’. I don’t know if they sell it individually. This one I’m using came from a make-up set sent by my Tita’s abroad.

Pros:
  • It’s nude so any lipstick will do
  • No smell
Cons:
  • Kinda pricy I guess compare to other lip liners
  • Needs sharpening (hassle)
 Rating:4.8/5

To use again?
Yes!

Lipsticks (WET ‘N WILD, BEAUTY RUSH, SHISEIDO AND F21)

Wet ‘N Wild
For my natural and usual look, I usually use Wet ‘n Wild lipstick () given to me by my aunt. Though it’s in the darker shade I love using it cause it’s close to the color of my lips .Also it doesn’t darken my lips after use (meaning low lead content). I usually use it when going out casual. It gives my dull looking lips a natural  pop of color.

Pros:
·         Doesn’t darken lips
·         Non glittery
·         Non glossy
Cons:
  •   Pricy compare to other brands

Rating: 5/5

To use again?
YES!

Beauty Rush
Also from my aunt. I use my Beauty Rush glossy lip stain when I feel like dolling-up or I feel so girl or pink. Though I hate the glossy feeling on my lips and it’s glossy look. Good thing my lip liner tones it down making it look less glossy. Also I love how its container looks. Parang crayon yung itsura.

Pros:
  •  Doesn’t darken lips
  • Non glittery
  • Cute container

Cons:
  • Glossy feeling
  • Glossy finished (especially if walang lip liner)

FV advice:
Use a base liner or concealer to prevent that uber glossy look.

Rating: 4.8/5

To use again?
Yes!

F21
When I feel dark or when I look so dull I usually use my red F21 lipstick () courtesy of my sister.
It has a matte finish kaya if walang lip liner pangit tingnan. The lip cracks show. Also it’s over red. You have to dub a tissue several times to your lips if you want to get the certain redness you want to achieve. Though I seldom use it. I don’t know if it is high on led content (be checking on it) but it leaves my lips dark after use.

Pros:
  •  Matte finish
  • Non glittery
  • Non glossy

Cons:
  • Darken lips (after I use it)

Fv advice:
Dub a tissue to make it stick more and to achieve the redness you want to have.

Rating: 4/5

To use again?
No, but I will use it until It rans out.

Shesiedo
I already got two of this. i really like using this aside from my Wet 'N Wild lipstick. It gives me that natural healthy looking lips (LOL)

Pros:
  • It'small and slim
  • Non glittery
  • No smell
Price: I forgot...teehee.sorry ladies

Rating: 4.8/5

Blush (CLINIQUE)
I’m using Clinique blush courtesy of my sister. Actually it’s a small set of eye shadows (which I don’t use) and blush. The color is rose (I guess, no description eh).

Pros:
  • Non glittery
  • Very slim, can fit to back pocket of pants

Cons:
  • Kinda pricy compare to other brand

Rating:4/5
To use again?

Yes!

how short is short should be for a peanut head like me

Right now my hair is kinda long and it's hard to maintain it since it's kinda frizzy, thick and unmanageable. Hindi pa naman ako mahilig magsuklay. I always put it on a ponytail or a bun kaya nga i got scolded kasi kakasemi rebond lang ng hair ko sira na agad. May tikwas na and wavy na.  I'm kinda thinking of having it short. I tried it before, untreated and mukhang buko ng niyog!Yikes. I'm not the gifted one  na maganda at bagsak yung buhok.Ako yung tipo ng babae na may makapal na strads ng buhok at sobrang frizzy pa na kung mahanganinan ay pwede nang pumalit kay Lilia Cantabay (?) na aswang sa mga pelikula. I have to iron it every now and then pagmay lakad ako to make it look good and put a dozen of hair serum to make it behave. (Behave talaga eh!)
Plus, due to the fact I'm a peanut head, not a nut head na walang alam, I'm referring sa shape, it's so hard maghanap ng babagay na hairstyle/haircut. Oh lord bat kasi hindi nalang square face na my mataas na cheek bone ang mukha ko.

My Papogi pose

Long-long-long hair. I hate it :(

Three Cuts i WANT to try.

This one... Shortest among the three.. So cute! I want to try this pixie cut though I'm not sure if it would favor the shape of my peanut face :(
Beckham... My favorite spice girl. I so love her hair, this one I've tried pero mukhang Beatles lang yung buhok na parang niyog. Hindi kasi short yung putol sa likod. I want  to try it pero shorter na yung likod. Yung almost shaves :P
Katie Holmes ata to. I love her hair! Kaso to achieve this short kakabangon, parang galing sa sex na buhok, kailangan pa ako magparebond o treat ng hair. Rarw! So sexy talaga, Hindi uso suklay.

Forgive me for my picture. Just Camwhoring after i finished my job
Then this is me, I braided my hair and tuck it on the other side. Okay pa ba naman? A lot said it looks good but some say okay lang. It's 50:50... I cant decide ...Help Help Help! :) Hair experts? Anyone?

April-May haul: All in trial pack

I started reading blogs last February 2013 when i was on my bum mode and my online shop, my so called "kumikintang kabuhayan" was really not earning that much.
Through reading blogs, kumukuha ako ng mga ideas and information on how to run my online shop because, eheemm...newbie here. Also some tips pano magluto, some fashion inspirations, project ideas like paper cutting which I'm very hooked up with right now and some beauty tips and brand selections na quality and at the same time  swak sa bulsa ng mga bums like me.
So here's the thing, I have been stalking and following some bloggers and i find it kinda impractical na bibili sila o bibigyan ng company ng mga malalaking tube or pouches ng mga new products na gusto nilang ireview o subukan. Than after a week or so, if they don't like it eh itatago nila ito o itatapon or maybe I just dont know. Pero swerte ng reviewer if nagustuhan niya ito. :)
Opinion lang sakin, I hope more brands would have trial packs or small sachets para yung mga less fortunate na gaya ko na gusto din magtry ng mga products nila ay hindi gagastos ng malaki at mauuwi sa wala kung magkaroon ng side effects or whatsoever  yung product.

April-May Haul:
Be posting some reviews soon for each items :)

(I so love this product and i think everyone loves this cause it's out of stock and since May the store havent restocked yet ans sad to sayt hat groceries here have no stocks too :( )
iwhite Korea facial cream,
(My make up base for summer and to my surprise, it lasted for my whole summer consumption. YEY! )
Bevi Kojie-San Kojic Acid Soap
(Though I am not a BIG fan of whitening soaps, I bought this for the very reason that this product is very effective  exfoliating soap and that's why i bought a body scrub. Good for peeling dead skin and sunburns after a long-long summer vacation)

Licealiz, iWhite Korea Facial wach, Cream Silk hair treatmeent and Milcu powder
(I bought Licealiz not because I have lice but to ensure i have no lice since people are borrowing hair brushes and comb from me. Better safe than sorry guys. Then after I treated my hair again with Cream silk. ..
...I bought the iWhite facial wash just for the heck of it since i stopped using master facial wash and just feel i should use a more girl and more appropriate facial wash....
....and since i stopped using deo spays and roll-on for a year now, i started using first the tawas na ginawang roll-on but it didnt work out bet us...lol so i used the powdered tawas instead. No smell plus chemical free kili-kili)

Review: iWhite Korea Skin whitening Vita Facial Cream

A couple of weeks ago, mga last three weeks ata , I went to mercury drug to buy some cleanser plus toner product that I’m using para ibaon for my very long summer vacation  but sad to say, they haven’t restocked yet. So to not waste my effort from going there I scanned some products I can use for my bumming days, beaching morning walks/swims and for gatherings from afternoon to night galore with relatives and I found Iwhite Korea Facial cream.

SRP: 20 php (6g, pouch), 150-165 php (50g, tube)

the before (beforelunch time at my room) and after (after going to the bank, around 2pm at our living room)
photo was taken at different time and place. A total of 3 hrs of freshness.
The first time I used it, I thought I would be disappointed because when I applied it over my tinted moisturizer and I looked white!Far from the color of my neck. I have fair skin, close to morena I should say  kaya medyo naalarm ako but I let it stayed for a while like 3-5 mins before deciding if i should wipe it off or not. After 3 mins or so, viola! I liked the result. Hindi ako mukhang patay. It just enhanced my complexion like as if there is a glow on my skin plus it doesn't feel sticky pag pinawisan and light siya sa skin. After half day of running errands, my skin still look fresh.

I've been using it for 3 weeks now an Im happy to say that hindi ako pumuti. Just got a glowing complexion. Plus super tipid pa cause meron pa akong natira after 3 weeks sa  6g pouch. I guess, sa consumo ko, 1 6g pouch would last a month

Pros:
  • Has SPF15
  • light scented but not bothersome
  • light on skin
  • not sticky
  • whitens and tones skin
  • moisturizes the skin
  • affordable
  • no pimple break out
Cons:
  • messy pouch
  • takes a while to absorb

Ratings:

  • Packaging: 3.5/5
  • Scent: 5/5
  • Texture: 5/5
  • Effectiveness: 4.5/5
  • Affordability: 5/5

OVERALL: 4.6/5

To repurchase or use again?
Yes! Definitely.

(this review is not paid or whatsoever connected to the company)
